n late 2010, when I was still in college, we started on a project to raise funds to buy computers for some schools in Uganda. Every one of us took part to raise money for this event; some students sold cookies, some did a charity dance, my colleagues and I made a chocolate fountain and sold it to students and teachers. We also asked as many people as we could to donate for that project. Individually, Danielle Rees (a friend of mine) and I were able to raise £370 by asking friends and family members to donate towards the project. We managed to provide computers for some schools in Uganda and so the students had more than just books to study with, they could access the Internet and do several things online to improve their academic performances. Although I wanted to go to Uganda and help students directly but there were a lot of restrictions involved that hindered this. I am very keen to do charitable work and in the near future, I intend travelling to Africa to render IT related help where it is needed, like introducing students to programming, creating basic games/app.
